The Emblem is circular with a Green background.  The emblem consists of a skipjack tuna with dark blue lines inside a white circle in the centre of a yellow fleur-de-lis, which is evenly centred on the green background. The three petals of the fleur-de-lis are bound by a rectangular green belt with three yellow small rectangles with rounded corners on the centre of the belt. The left and right petals of the fleur-de-lis has a green five pointed star on each and the centre petal has a green spindle in the centre. Below the fleur-de-lis is a white half cresent.

The fleur-de-lis in the emblem is used to represent Scouting and with the green spindle in the centre it forms and arrowhead as in compass to mean that a Scout can point the right way in life as truly as a compass can in the field. The yellow colour of the fleur-de-lis represents light to mean lighting the path to progress in life. The three petals, like the fingers of the Scout sign, stand for the three parts of the Scout Oath: duty to God and country, duty to others, and duty to self. The The green belt holding the petals together represents the bond of brotherhood. The five-pointed star on the left and right petal stand for truth and knowledge. The green background taken from the green in the Maldivian flag represents peace and prosperity and the Islamic faith of the nation. The white half cresent, at the base, is the symbol of islam and denotes peace in scouting. The white circle and the tuna fish collectively represents the beach, the sky, the sea and life in harmony with nature.

The emblem is the distinctive emblem of the Scout Association of Maldives. The emblem may be used by the members groups for bona-fide Scouting purposes including educational and training materials, group activities and promotional material.
